A punchy launch film designed for large-format digital billboards, rolled out across key screens in New York City, Las Vegas, and Tokyo
My Role: Storyboard / Design Development
I focused on building a clear visual narrative and “hero moments” that translate instantly on large-scale displays, and developed the faux-3D look from scratch to create a stronger sense of depth and dimensionality.
Tokyo
Design (Based on Cross Shinjuku Vision)
Design process
For the Tokyo placement, the creative leans into a distinctly Japanese winter-outdoor mindset—snowy mountains, ski gear, and the quiet precision of a prepared journey. I built a set of alpine elements as visual “proof points” around the product, framing the Dell XPS as the center of the experience. The laptop opens within a constructed faux-3D space, allowing the scene to feel layered and immersive—like a miniature world unfolding from the device—while keeping the product silhouette clean and billboard-readable.
New York City
Design process
For the New York placement, the creative channels the city’s late-night R&B energy—warm, rhythmic, and effortlessly cool—blending visual cues from pop music and jazz. I translated sound into graphic language: beat-driven patterns, expressive linework, and musical motifs that feel like they’re floating through the air. The composition is staged like a New York street-corner music café. Within this setting, the Dell XPS becomes the “stage”: the product sits at the center while the music-inspired elements orbit around it, creating a sense of depth and immersion without compromising bold silhouette clarity and billboard readability.
