The Alluring Chaos is a visual exploration of the invisible connections between people and the structures that define our shared existence.
Each portrait originates from real individuals I’ve encountered — friends, colleagues, and strangers — each carrying unique stories shaped by their professions, personalities, and social relationships.
The creation process was a rigorous experiment in generative motion. I conducted a comparative stress-test across the industry's leading video models, including Kling AI, Runway (Gen-3 Alpha/Gen-2), Luma Dream Machine, and Hailuo AI. While each offered distinct strengths in physics and photorealism, the challenge was to retain the stylized soul of the original illustrations.
Ultimately, Jimeng was selected as the primary collaborator for the final execution. It demonstrated a superior sensitivity to the specific visual structures of my portraits, allowing me to deconstruct emotional layers without distorting the artistic intent.
By weaving these cutting-edge technologies with traditional portraiture, I sought to create a digital constellation of interconnected identities — a universe where human complexity becomes both chaotic and mesmerizingly beautiful.
Curious about the pipeline? From rigorous model benchmarking (Kling vs. Runway vs. Jimeng) to the final composite.
